One of the things that make the Acorn Centre so special is its volunteers. With people of all ages, backgrounds and experience coming together to serve the community in a friendly working atmostphere, who not come and join the team?
The Acorn Centre is open to all and we have volunteers from all walks of life and everyone is valued and respected equally.

Training
Full training and induction for your chosen role to ensure that you are confident when you first serve our customers and guests.
Social Interaction
Meet new and interesting people from all walks of life, of all ages and experience and expand your personal network.
Food
All our volunteers get a free soup or sandwich lunch and a hot or cold drink each time they volunteer. Our kitchen team also like to get volunteers' opinions on new products, so you are likely to experience some new flavours too!

How often? YOU DECIDE!!
Once a month, once a week, a couple of shifts in the school holidays - whatever you can do is very much appreciated. You don't have to commit to a regular slot - it's about what works for you.
